Default I'm a Nightfall Necro at the Gates of Maddness..

I do NOT have SS or SV (though my necro hero's have SS.)

I've been running Faintheartedness, Phantasm of Pain, Barbs, Signet of Suffering (elite, lets me get 140 damage with all those hexes,) Parasitic Bond, Well of Blood to help out healers, LB gaze, Sunspear Rebirth.

(edited in to add, after more research here, that I see where the one boss that isn't named for spoiler reasons, strips hexes, so it may not be that effective with him after all. I was thinking about another elite for death magic that does shadow damage and poisons...can't remember the name of it, but the poison part would be ideal...)

I have 16 into curses, at least 9 in SR and I think spilt of about 6 in Illusion for the Phantasm and Blood for the well spell. (In practice, seems more then sufficient.)

1) I'm not posting this as my uber build, but just what I have been trying to deal with gates of madness from a strictly Nightfall POV. Of course try telling that to everyone else that wants you to have the Faction and Proph elites too...oh..and they are at the END of those chapters, so one would be playing two full chapters just to run this one mission.

2) I would greatly appreciate suggestions from the gurus here on how to deal with this mission using Nightfall only skills. Wiki is a bit short on those at the moment.

I really want to get through this mission. With henches and heroes alone I made it to the two bosses, then made the mistake of attacking shiro.

I can't make groups want me because I don't have those other two elites, but I would very much like to see a viable build come of this that may help others like me that started our primary necro for the first time in Nightfall.

Note, I could cap SV with one of my other toons and as a secondary necro, but again, it would be on my hero and not on me, running the risk of not getting it fired off at the right time even manually. Its about all I can do to get MY skills off on time.

You got RM? That will allow you to spread the hexes around. I think I played Hex spammer last few missions. But yea I do remember using SV in at least one of the last missions. My hex spammer build is:

1- Life Siphon
2- Reaper's Mark
3- Parasitic Bond
4- Sig of Lost Souls
5- Sunspear Rebirth Sig
6- open
7- open
8- open

Choose whatever you want in 6,7,8. Good options are: Suffering, Shadow of Fear, Enfeebling Blood, Blood of the Aggressor, etc.

Attributes are: 14 Soul Reaping, 12 Blood, 11 Curses
